Accounting Technician Financial Reporting
Sonepar
Support Sonepar Canada’s finance team through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis in a business-to-business distribution environment. Use Excel and ERP skills to maintain accurate records.
As an Accounting Technician, you will contribute to financial activities across Sonepar Canada and its operating companies. The position involves compiling financial data, analyzing P&L and balance sheet accounts, and supporting group reporting. You will also coordinate entries, respond to information requests, and participate in process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain records and record accrual and prepaid journal entries
Compile financial data for reporting activities
Analyze P&L and balance sheet accounts
Perform financial reconciliations and routine treasury tasks
Coordinate entries with operating companies and support reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or DEC in Accounting, or equivalent experience
Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role
Strong Excel and enterprise resource planning system skills
Knowledge of GAAP; IFRS knowledge is an asset
Good written and spoken French and English
