Back Of House Operations Manager
Mountain Equipment Company (MEC)
Drive back-of-house operations at MEC through inventory management, shipment coordination, and accurate operational workflows. Work hands-on across stockroom and store environments.
As Department Manager, Operations Support, you lead the functions that keep MEC stores running safely and efficiently. Your scope includes stockroom operations, OMS workflows, inventory flow, loss prevention, health and safety, facilities, and operational escalations. You report to the General Manager and collaborate with Senior Staff Team members to address risks, improve execution, and build team capability. When required, you act as the Member Service Manager on the floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage stockroom, shipment, OMS, and inventory operations
Ensure standards, SLAs, and workflows execute consistently
Escalate systems, facilities, and operational issues appropriately
Conduct audits and cycle counts supporting inventory integrity
Respond to incidents and drive corrective actions
Requirements:
One to three years leading retail or service operations
Ability to interpret KPIs and drive consistent execution
Experience with inventory management and operating systems
Working knowledge of loss prevention and health and safety
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active
