Cook nourishing meals, snacks, and beverages for guests at North Shore Housing Centre in North Vancouver. This casual position includes daytime, evening, and overnight shifts.
Lookout Housing and Health Society seeks a Cook reporting to the Site Manager. You will provide daily food service while supporting food availability after hours. The work includes menu adherence, supply planning, kitchen volunteer oversight, and cleanliness across food service areas and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve meals, snacks, and beverages according to daily needs
Keep food available for guests after regular service hours
Clean kitchen, dining, storage areas, and equipment thoroughly
Organize and complete assigned work safely
Complete some shopping and itemize required supplies
Requirements:

Cooking Diploma, Grade 12, and two years related experience
Current FOODSAFE and Occupational First Aid Level 1
Experience planning menus and developing order supply lists
Ability to organize daily workload independently or collaboratively
Ability to operate job-related equipment
Use your food preparation, supply planning, and sanitation experience to deliver reliable service at North Shore Housing Centre.
