Aquatics Program Specialist Cambridge

Plan aquatic programs, teach swim lessons, and support pool services as an Aquatics Specialist with the City of Cambridge. Work collaboratively across recreation operations.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation – Aquatics, this position supports the Community Development Division’s Recreation & Culture Department. Five Aquatics Specialists will plan, instruct, evaluate, and document swim lessons while delivering aquafit classes. The work also includes staff support, program administration, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure effective pool deck delivery of aquatic programs
Plan and evaluate aquatic swim lesson participation
Instruct deep and shallow aquafit classes
Apply lifeguard standards and customer service skills
Administer programs using Active Net and statistical results
Requirements:
High school diploma required
Minimum two years’ Instructor Guard experience
Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED
High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
Bring aquatic instruction, lifeguarding, program administration, and customer service skills to Cambridge recreation services.
