Resident Support Worker Custodian
Force Inspection Services
Support residents and maintain safe shelter operations as a part-time Resident Support Worker/Custodian at Kelowna’s Gospel Mission in Kelowna. Work Mondays and Tuesdays overnight.
At Kelowna’s Gospel Mission, this frontline position supports individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. You will assist with basic needs, resident transitions, shelter activities, and accurate client records. Bay Ave operates an Overdose Prevention Site with supervised consumption.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate shelter activities promoting wellbeing and community engagement
Maintain shelter cleanliness and upkeep under health standards
De-escalate conflicts and protect resident safety
Provide compassionate resident support and maintain accurate records
Manage general housekeeping and residents’ belongings
Requirements:
At least three months’ social work or related experience
High School Diploma required
Relevant Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and related platforms
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required
