This Engineering Manager role focuses on production delivery under real-world constraints, while the team develops shared payment foundations. You will lead engineers working across high-throughput services, global bill payments, risk and fraud, and multi-provider capabilities. Your ownership includes staffing, performance, career development, quality, reliability, and on-call accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the team toward dependable production code delivery
Build capability through mentoring and technical reviews
Own team processes, quality standards, and on-call practices
Partner with product and engineering leaders on priorities
Support architectural decisions through effective team delivery
Requirements:
Deliver highly available systems with strong operational practices
Grow engineers through hiring, performance, and career development
Guide design reviews and technical trade-off decisions
Break complex problems into actionable delivery plans
Modernize established systems while continuing customer value
Use distributed systems leadership and technical depth to strengthen reliable payment services serving small businesses.
