Extendicare Resident Care Worker

Support residents and families with personal care, mobility, and daily living needs as a part time Personal Support Worker at Extendicare.
Working under supervisor direction, you will provide care within your knowledge and skill while respecting regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include supporting resident abilities, offering cognitive and emotional support, preparing nutritious meals, and responding to concerns. Accurate reporting and confidentiality are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate resident moves and transfers where applicable
Prepare nutritious meals as required
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support
Respond to resident, client, and family concerns
Maintain safe, clean environments and equipment
Requirements:

Minimum 600-hour equivalent program where applicable
Demonstrated personal care knowledge and skills
Strong interpersonal and customer focus skills
Complete current Vulnerable Sector Check
Ability to perform necessary position tasks
Use personal care, communication, mobility, and organizational skills to help Extendicare residents maintain safety, dignity, and abilities.
