Steel Production Worker Afternoon Shift
Salit Steel
Operate shop equipment and prepare steel orders as a Production Worker at Salit Steel’s Bowmanville location on afternoon shift. Training occurs on day shift.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will process structural steel and rebar for delivery to Salit customers. The work emphasizes safe machinery operation, accurate measurements, quality compliance, and dependable attendance. Training is provided for cutting saws, rebar benders, and shears.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
Retrieve structural steel and rebar from warehouse racks
Feed and unload processing machines
Measure rebar lengths and bends with tape measures
Maintain clean, organized work areas and report unsafe conditions
Requirements:
Two to three years’ manufacturing or construction experience preferred
Ability to read and write English
Basic math skills, including simple fractions
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Approved safety footwear and required protective equipment
Bring steel handling, equipment operation, and attention to detail to Salit Steel’s Bowmanville afternoon production shift.
