Hospital Dietary Aide Whitby

Support patient meals at Lakeridge Health Whitby as a regular part-time Dietary Aide using food service and sanitation skills. Serve patients across days, evenings, and weekends.
This Dietary Aide position supports Patient Food Services within Lakeridge Health’s Food Services program. You will assemble food, deliver meals and nourishment, collect service items, and maintain clean equipment. The work requires safe food handling, effective communication, and reliable teamwork while supporting patient safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble food and nourishment according to service requirements
Deliver meals and nourishment to patients
Pick up meal service items after delivery
Wash dishes and equipment using established procedures
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
Requirements:

Required Food Handler training and certification
Previous food preparation or food service experience
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer service
Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and short-notice call-ins
