Medicine Team Registered Practical Nurse
Cambridge Memorial Hospital
Deliver patient-centred care at Cambridge Memorial Hospital as a Registered Practical Nurse using assessment and monitoring skills. Work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
This full-time Registered Practical Nurse serves CMH’s Medicine Team within a community hospital. The position requires treatments, procedures, physical assessments, interdisciplinary reporting, documentation, and patient monitoring. You will assist with daily living activities and provide relevant information and education to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform treatments and procedures for medicine patients
Assess patients and monitor changes in overall condition
Report and document patient changes to interdisciplinary teams
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Provide patient and family information and education
Requirements:
College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
Registered Practical Nurse diploma or equivalent
Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate and medication administration course
One year recent hospital medical experience
Excellent physical assessment, communication, and negotiating skills
