Ophthalmology Registered Practical Nurse
LASIK MD
Support ophthalmic procedures as a Registered Practical Nurse at LASIK MD Barrie, using precision, empathy, and strong communication skills. This is a permanent part-time casual position.
Working with an ophthalmologist, you will anticipate actions, follow protocols, and help coordinate interventions. You will reassure patients before and after procedures while developing expertise with tools and technologies used during intraocular procedures. The clinic is part of Vision Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the ophthalmologist during procedures
Anticipate actions while following established protocols
Reassure patients before and after procedures
Coordinate interventions as part of the clinical team
Use intraocular procedure tools and technologies
Requirements:
Registered Practical Nurse registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
Excellent English communication skills
Meticulous, precise, rigorous, patient, focused approach
Ability to establish trust quickly with others
Availability Tuesdays and flexible Monday, Wednesday, Friday
