Full Time Lab Patient Technician

Support patient care through phlebotomy and specimen preparation as a full time Lab Patient Technician working variable shifts. Your work guides specimens safely from collection to transportation.
This Lab Patient Technician position manages the specimen collection process from greeting patients through preparation for transportation. You will perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and Holter monitor connections while supporting accurate testing workflows. The work also includes special collections, documentation, patient service, and data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and explain required specimen collection procedures
Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings
Connect and disconnect Holter monitors
Complete special collections and related documentation
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate or equivalent preferred
Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
ECG training or experience considered an asset
Excellent communication and patient service skills
Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
