Support student safety at Stitó:s Lá:lém Totí:lt Elementary / Middle School through supervision, communication, and First Aid. This position works during non-instructional time.
Reporting to the Principal or designate, the Supervision Assistant monitors student behaviour with minimal direction. The work includes supporting students, administering directed medication, and fostering cooperative relationships. Effective communication and patience are central to daily interactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor student behaviour inside school and on grounds
Ensure students remain in assigned areas
Administer First Aid and directed student medication
Report safety and discipline concerns to the Principal
Distribute activity materials and equipment
Requirements:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
Over six months' experience working with children
Valid Safety Oriented First Aid Certificate
Ability to work with special needs students
Effective oral and written communication skills
Apply supervision, First Aid, patience, and communication skills while assisting students during non-instructional school time.
