Prepare timely meals at AgeCare using safe food handling and quality food preparation skills. Work in a resident-focused long-term care home.
As a Cook in an AgeCare long-term care residence, you will prepare and serve proper meals on schedule. You will maintain safe, sanitary work areas while supporting residents’ health and well-being. The position includes checking special diet orders, addressing concerns, and directing Food Services Workers when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve proper meals on time
Maintain safe and sanitary work areas
Check special diet orders for new admissions
Respond to resident and family member concerns
Direct Food Services Workers when required
Requirements:
Prior Cook experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity
Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate
Minimum public-school education
High school education preferred
Diploma, certificate, or equivalent in quality food preparation and production
Bring cooking, food safety, and supervisory experience to AgeCare’s resident-centered long-term care food services team.
