Registered Practical Nurses use clinical knowledge and compassionate care at Cogir Senior Living, serving residents through a holistic, resident centric approach.
RPNs provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care under provincial standards. They work with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families, and unregulated care providers. The position includes evaluating care plans, documenting assessments, and communicating changes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care
Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams
Implement and evaluate resident care plans
Complete accurate clinical assessments, care plans, and documentation
Teach, delegate, direct, coach, and mentor care providers
Requirements:
Current provincial registration as a Registered Practical Nurse
Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge and critical thinking
Experience with seniors and unregulated care providers preferred
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
