Investigate insurance claims and deliver empathetic customer service as a Telephone Claims Adjuster with Optimum Insurance in North Bay.
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Claims, you will manage claims from initial notification through resolution. The position involves reviewing policy coverage, assessing losses, negotiating settlements, and maintaining accurate files. You will communicate with policyholders, brokers, vendors, authorities, and third parties.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and manage claims submitted by policyholders
Review coverage and determine claim eligibility
Gather information to assess and resolve claims
Negotiate settlements within established authority levels
Document claims accurately and provide timely service
Requirements:
College diploma or university degree
Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Bring claims investigation, settlement negotiation, and customer service skills to Optimum Insurance while supporting policyholders through resolution.
