Healthcare Food Services Cook

Apply culinary leadership and therapeutic diet knowledge as a Cook with Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority in Teulon. This Food Services position supports hospital meal service.
Working at Teulon/Hunter Memorial Hospital, the Cook oversees daily Food Services operations under management and dietitian direction. The position combines standardized recipe preparation, diet requirements, sanitation, scheduling, ordering, inventory controls, and staff supervision. It also supports regional collaboration and departmental communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise food service staff and assign daily work
Prepare and serve food using standardized recipes
Meet menu, diet, sanitation, and safety requirements
Manage scheduling, ordering, costs, and inventory controls
Participate in regional cooks meetings and networking
Requirements:
Recognized Institutional Cooking Course or Red Seal
Valid Food Handlers Certificate within six months
Three years commercial food services cooking experience
Three years supervisory experience
Knowledge of therapeutic diets and texture modification
Use cooking expertise, supervision, and sound decision making to support safe hospital Food Services at Teulon/Hunter Memorial Hospital.
