Previous cooking experience in long-term care, healthcare, or a similar environment is preferred. Culinary and food safety credentials support the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to established menus
Meet taste and nutrition standards for all dishes
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Manage inventory, freshness, storage, and waste
Monitor presentation and collaborate with nutrition leadership
Requirements:
Previous cook experience in long-term care preferred
Healthcare or similar environment experience preferred
Culinary diploma or certification preferred
Required food safety and hygiene certifications
Ability to maintain resident-focused food quality
Bring healthcare cooking experience, food safety knowledge, and quality control skills to Willow Lodge’s resident meal service.
