Primary Care Paramedic Oyen

Provide emergency patient assessment and transport as a Primary Care Paramedic in Oyen, Alberta, using BLS and defibrillation skills. This temporary full-time position follows rotating shifts, including on-call coverage.
Emergency Health Services seeks a Primary Care Paramedic for the Oyen Core/Flex program at Big Country Hospital. You will assess emergency scenes and patients, administer minor medications, and support clinical care during transport. The work includes ambulance operation, NET units, and remote response locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess emergency scenes and patients
Transport ill or injured patients between locations
Administer minor medications and basic life support
Provide semi-automated defibrillation when required
Stock ambulances and transport vehicles to established standards
Requirements:
Non-restricted Alberta College of Paramedics PCP registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR certification
Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence or equivalent
Five-year driver abstract with no more than six demerits
Ability to perform frequent lifting and carrying up to 105 pounds
