Support Division 2 students as a temporary full-time Educational Assistant at Westboro Elementary in Sherwood Park, Alberta, using communication and organization skills.
Elk Island Public Schools seeks Educational Assistants to support classroom learning and school activities. Working under teacher direction, you will provide routine instructional assistance, contribute to student support planning, and help students develop educational skills. The assignment includes supporting a student with academic and social/emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional classroom tasks
Provide routine, repetitive instructional support under teacher direction
Record observations through basic charting and logging
Support students across classrooms and school activities
Provide personal care and additional assistance when required
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Minimum one-year related experience
Strong oral, listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to respond appropriately to challenging student behaviours
Ability to work cooperatively as an active team member
Bring reliable student support, communication, organization, and teamwork skills to Westboro Elementary’s collaborative learning community.
