Shuttle Bus Driver Utility Worker
Nova Scotia Community College
Operate shuttle buses and coordinate deliveries as a Utility Driver at NSCC’s Ivany Campus in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Use a Class 4 licence and forklift certification.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this term full-time position supports transportation, warehouse, mail, and facilities operations. You will transport students between off-campus parking lots and the main campus, support bank runs and mail service, and maintain safe, functional facilities. The appointment runs approximately November 30, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive shuttle buses carrying up to 24 passengers safely
Assist students with boarding and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Provide transportation, bank runs, mail, and delivery services
Receive, inspect, pack, store materials, and operate forklifts
Perform maintenance, cleaning, safety checks, and facility support
Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or willingness to attain
Valid Class 4 Nova Scotia Driver’s Licence and clean record
Forklift Operators Certificate
Two years’ recent related Driver/Utility Worker experience
Computer experience with Microsoft Office, email, and Megamation
Bring safe driving, forklift operation, customer service, and maintenance experience to NSCC’s Ivany Campus transportation and facilities services.
