Temporary Part Time Phlebotomy Technician

Perform phlebotomy and ECG testing as a temporary part time Lab Patient Technician, supporting patients through specimen collection. Work Monday to Saturday, with varied shifts and location coverage.
This Lab Patient Technician position supports patient care from greeting patients through specimen preparation. You will explain test protocols, collect specimens, and complete documentation for special testing. The role requires communication, computer, and patient service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and confirm required information
Explain collection procedures and verify test protocol compliance
Perform phlebotomies, Holter monitoring, and ECG tracings
Complete special test collections and related documentation
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate or equivalent preferred
Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
ECG training or experience considered an asset
Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
Patient privacy, empathy, flexibility, and problem solving skills
