Perioperative Support Surgical Suite

Support surgical care at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering through patient transport, equipment handling, and perioperative support across rotating shifts.
This temporary part-time position serves the Surgical Program within OR Main, LHAP. You will support the surgical team by moving patients, specimens, equipment, supplies, carts, and linen while maintaining required cleanliness. The schedule includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and eight-hour shifts subject to change.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair
Position and lift patients as required
Set up, clean, and maintain equipment
Transport specimens, supplies, garbage, and linen
Clean Surgical Suite areas and prepare case carts
Requirements:
Successful CSAO or MDRAO course completion
Current CPR certificate
Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of universal precautions for supplies and specimens
Availability for all shifts and weekends
Bring safe patient handling, equipment support, and surgical teamwork to Lakeridge Health’s Ajax-Pickering operating environment.
