Senior Living Cook Elmira

Prepare resident meals at Barnswallow Place Community in Elmira, Ontario, using recipes, production sheets, and prescribed diet requirements. Work onsite in the residence kitchen.
As a Cook with Sienna Senior Living, you will prepare meals and snacks for seniors and residents. Your work includes food preparation, portion control, temperature requirements, and supply quality monitoring. You may also support departmental operations when the team leader is absent.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up equipment and supplies for food preparation
Prepare meals and snacks using recipes and production sheets
Provide prescribed diets at proper temperatures and portions
Monitor received food supplies and report quality concerns
Assist with new team member orientation and training
Requirements:
Grade 12 minimum education
Valid Safe Food Handling or Smart Serve certificate
Cooking experience in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings
Positive attitude supporting residence goals and standards
Legal eligibility to work in Canada and required background checks
Bring cooking, food safety, and prescribed diet experience to support residents at Sienna Senior Living’s Elmira community.
