Wind Turbine Technician Melancthon

Apply wind turbine expertise and electrical or mechanical skills as a full-time, on-site Wind Technician at TransAlta’s Melancthon Wind Asset.
This salaried, safety-sensitive position supports safe, reliable, and efficient wind asset operations. You will maintain, service, and repair turbine equipment while following TransAlta and Siemens procedures. The work also involves supporting operations plans, compliance, plant availability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, service, and repair wind turbine equipment daily
Support operations and maintenance plans and business results
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Complete routine and preventative maintenance accurately and on time
Document work and maintain operational compliance standards
Requirements:
Related certification, education, or proven technical experience
Preferred three to five years of wind turbine experience
Knowledge of GE wind turbine technology
Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, control, and safety systems knowledge
Valid driver’s license and required training compliance
Bring wind turbine maintenance, technical systems knowledge, and safety focus to TransAlta’s Melancthon Wind Asset in Ontario.
