Critical Care Registered Nurse PACU

Provide critical care nursing at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, using emergency response and post-anaesthetic recovery expertise. Work within an interdisciplinary team.
Vancouver Coastal Health seeks a Registered Nurse for its Post Anesthetic Recovery team. You will care for high-risk critically ill clients with unpredictable outcomes, including patients attached to life-support equipment. The position also supports post-anaesthetic recovery, client and family centred care, clinical leadership, and ongoing competence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to high-risk critically ill clients
Care for clients attached to life-support equipment
Support clients in post-anaesthetic recovery
Consult, confer, and collaborate with healthcare providers
Participate in committees and approved research projects
Requirements:
Current practicing BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
Recognized critical care nursing program completion
Two years’ recent related critical care experience
Ability to assess and manage life-threatening situations
Skill using critical care monitoring and support equipment
