Crisis Registered Nurse Mental Health

Assess complex mental health and addictions needs as a Crisis Registered Nurse at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Work temporary full time in the emergency department.
The Mental Health Program seeks a Registered Nurse for its interdisciplinary healthcare team. You will conduct crisis assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide follow up support. The position also includes liaison with psychiatry and off service crisis assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough mental status and biopsychosocial crisis assessments
Develop patient care treatment plans for complex needs
Provide up to three follow up crisis sessions
Offer psychosocial education to patients and families
Participate in conferences, meetings, and professional development
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Three to five years related psychiatric experience
Non Violent Crisis Intervention or CPI training
Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate on hire
Excellent biopsychosocial assessment and de escalation skills
Bring psychiatric nursing, crisis assessment, and therapeutic relationship skills to emergency mental health care at Ross Memorial Hospital.
