Registered Nurses provide direct patient care at Campbell River Hospital in Campbell River, British Columbia, coordinating nursing services through multidisciplinary teamwork.
This regular full-time Staff Nurse role follows rotating days off and 0700-1900 or 1900-0700 shifts. Working within Vancouver Island Health Authority standards, you will apply the nursing process, support patient safety, and respond to emergencies. The position requires professional accountability, communication, and direction of auxiliary personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care to assigned clients
Coordinate and administer direct client care
Apply the nursing process effectively and systematically
Direct auxiliary personnel and staff
Respond appropriately during emergency situations
Requirements:
Registration as a practicing RN with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
Basic Life Support, Level C, for general duty positions
Up to one year of recent related experience, or equivalent
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to remain calm during stressful emergencies
Use registered nursing expertise, patient safety practices, and emergency response skills at Campbell River Hospital.
