About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Fleet Supervisor to manage their fleet operations in Kimberley. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of delivery drivers, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the company's vehicle fleet. This on-site role requires strong leadership to maintain high standards of performance, punctuality, and customer service. The ideal candidate has a solid background in fleet management and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the smooth flow of deliveries throughout the Northern Cape region. You will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency and driver performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the delivery driver team.
Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
Address driver issues, customer concerns, and operational challenges effectively.
Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including fuel consumption and mileage.
Requirements
Previous experience as a supervisor or manager in a fleet or transportation setting.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and dispatch operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Knowledge of the Kimberley area and surrounding routes is advantageous.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
