At BIRD, the QA/QC Inspector supports the Quality Control Team across welding, pipe, structural steel, and required civil or concrete scopes. The role involves interpreting engineer drawings, reviewing records, and maintaining accurate inspection documentation. Related industrial mechanical construction and quality control experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement code and client specification requirements on site
Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and engineer drawings
Review NDE and material test records
Inspect welds, verify dimensions, and complete weld mapping
Assemble pressure test and turnover documentation
Requirements:
Hold CWB Level II Certified Welding Inspector certification
Know NDE processes, ASME Codes, and CSA Codes
Meet tight deadlines while prioritizing assigned work
Use Bluebeam and Microsoft Office proficiently
Demonstrate accurate analytical and problem-solving abilities
Apply welding inspection, documentation, and code knowledge while supporting BIRD’s industrial quality control work across Canada.
