Laboratory and Field Testing Technician

Perform laboratory and field testing in Victoria, British Columbia, using soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and density testing methods. Support construction materials projects.
WSP seeks an Intermediate Laboratory and Field Technician to support construction materials quality, safety, and performance across British Columbia projects. You will test soils, aggregates, and concrete, conduct field assessments, and maintain complete sample traceability. The work requires consistent procedures, accurate records, and safe laboratory equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine laboratory testing on soils, aggregates, and concrete
Conduct concrete, asphalt, and density testing in the field
Prepare, label, log, and store samples for traceability
Operate balances, ovens, sieves, and compression testing machines
Document observations and results in approved digital systems
Requirements:
Two to three years performing field and laboratory materials testing
Experience testing soils, asphalt, concrete, and aggregates
Knowledge of CSA, ASTM, and related testing standards
Working knowledge of laboratory safety and quality procedures
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
