Estimate reinforcing bars, mesh, and accessories for Nucor Rebar Fabrication bids. Apply construction knowledge, plan review, and analytical skills to timely proposals.
As an Estimator, you will prepare quantities for fabricated reinforcing products required on bidding projects. You will communicate with customers, branch teammates, and sales colleagues throughout the estimating process. The work includes reviewing concrete project plans, tracking revisions, and coordinating information for production review.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare timely quantities for reinforcing bar and mesh bids
Log and review drawings, addenda, and project updates
Communicate bid schedules and changes to commercial sales
Obtain quotes for accessories, trucking, hoisting, and services
Develop complete rebar quotes with the sales team
Requirements:
Three years as a reinforcing bar or structural steel detailer
Knowledge of concrete structures and CRSI/ACI standards
Ability to track revisions and bid updates accurately
Strong communication, computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities
Use rebar estimating, plan review, and communication skills to help Nucor Rebar Fabrication deliver complete customer proposals.
