Provide direct nursing care at Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC, using clinical judgment, communication, and organized workload management. Rotating shifts support this temporary full-time assignment.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate, the Registered Nurse plans and provides patient or resident care. Practice follows unit or program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BC nursing standards. This assignment is temporary full-time, with rotating days off and scheduled shifts spanning day, evening, and night coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan direct nursing care for patients or residents
Provide nursing care in hospital or community settings
Follow unit and program philosophy requirements
Apply competency guidelines and organizational policies
Continuously support patient and staff safety improvements
Requirements:
Registration as a practicing RN with BCCNM
Up to two years of recent related experience
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to organize workload and set priorities
Physical ability to perform position duties
Bring registered nursing expertise, clear communication, and sound prioritization to patient care at Victoria General Hospital.
