Registered Nurse Community Home Care
Extendicare
Support community home care through registered nursing expertise, care assessment, and clear communication as a part time RN with Extendicare.
This Registered Nurse role maintains quality practice according to governing standards, internal policies, and standards of care. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, reviewing care plans, supervising nursing and personal care staff, and providing nursing direction when required. Access to a reliable vehicle in community home care is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain care according to physicians’ orders and policies
Assess and monitor residents or patients
Develop, implement, review, and evaluate care plans
Orient and supervise assigned nursing and personal care staff
Provide nursing department direction during leadership absence
Requirements:
Current certificate of competence from the approved provincial institution
Registration or eligibility with the approved professional institution
Previous similar community or long-term care experience
Reliable vehicle access for community home care
Creative problem-solving and big-picture thinking skills
Bring assessment, care planning, supervision, and problem-solving abilities to Extendicare’s part time registered nursing work.
