Registered Nurse Post Anesthesia Care

Red Deer Regional Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with PACU assessment expertise and strong communication skills. This is regular full-time work in Red Deer.
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will support specialized care after anesthesia and surgical procedures. The position requires technical skills, clinical judgment, organizational ability, and timely interventions. You will deliver patient and family centered nursing care through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized care following anesthesia and surgical procedures
Recognize subtle changes in patient condition promptly
Deliver professional nursing care using clinical judgment
Communicate critical information to multidisciplinary team members
Move and reposition unresponsive patients to protect airways
Requirements:
Complete an accredited nursing education program
Hold active or eligible CRNA registration and practice permit
Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Have recent PACU experience or complete a PACU certificate
Complete minimum current PACU, critical care, ICU, or surgical experience
