Head Chef Live Fire Restaurant

Lead ROAR’s live fire kitchen in Tofino, bringing culinary leadership and menu creation to a full-time Head Chef appointment.
Located inside Hotel Zed, ROAR is a cozy restaurant and bar in a remote rainforest setting. The Head Chef oversees daily kitchen operations, forecasting, budgeting, and menu creation while upholding the brand’s values. This leader mentors chefs, guides the culinary program toward financial success, and works with restaurant and resort management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily kitchen operations and culinary program direction
Create seasonal menus showcasing Tofino’s local bounty
Oversee forecasting, budgeting, inventory, and cost systems
Mentor chefs and develop career plans for team members
Represent ROAR at food festivals and culinary events
Requirements:
Passion for culinary excellence and inspirational leadership
Experience overseeing kitchen operations and menu creation
Ability to mentor chefs and build team relationships
Understanding of live fire culinary programming
Willingness to work in remote Tofino
