Machining Cost Estimator Cambridge

Analyze machining costs at AEP Cambridge North in Cambridge, using technical drawings and customer requirements to prepare accurate estimates.
As an Estimator, you will assess machining parts and components, calculate materials, labor, and machine time, and prepare competitive quotes. You will coordinate with sales, engineering, production, and purchasing teams while addressing customer questions throughout estimation.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings and specifications for machining cost estimates
Calculate material, labor, machine time, and operating expenses
Prepare quotes, proposals, assumptions, exclusions, and schedules
Assess manufacturing feasibility and recommend cost-effective alternatives
Track estimate accuracy against actual costs
Requirements:
Minimum five years’ cost estimation experience
Machining experience within a manufacturing setting
Technical drawing, blueprint, and CAD interpretation skills
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Mastercam and estimation software proficiency
