Contract Process Operator Fort McMurray
CNOOC International
Operate SAGD facility equipment in Fort McMurray with CNOOC International on a rotating 14x14 day and night shift schedule.
As a Contractor Process Operator, you will support daily operations at CNOOC Petroleum North America’s Long Lake facility. The 12-month contract covers equipment operation, troubleshooting, safe work permits, and communication with the Control Room Operator. You will work within established procedures while supporting production performance and responding to operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to and enforce safety policies and procedures
Operate equipment within established parameters and procedures
Issue and manage safe work permits
Support unit operations, shift turnover, and defined rounds
Manage abnormal situations using Stabilize, Slowdown, Shutdown hierarchy
Requirements:
Valid Alberta inter-provincial Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate
Minimum one year of plant or field experience
Experience supporting operations, technical, and maintenance teams
Standard operating procedure experience and MS Office skills
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and Canadian work authorization
Bring process operations, safety, and troubleshooting experience to CNOOC International’s Long Lake facility in northern Alberta.
