Enterprise GIS Administrator Manitoba Hydro

Enterprise GIS administration at Manitoba Hydro calls for eGIS expertise, system support, and coordination with Distribution Engineering and D&T. This corporate support position includes training and travel.
Under limited supervision, the eGIS Administrator operates, maintains, and continuously upgrades Manitoba Hydro’s Enterprise Geographic Information System. The position leads enhancements, resolves user issues, supports system access, and coordinates requirements with user groups, Distribution Design, CSO, and D&T. It also supervises technical support staff and manages related applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead eGIS functionality and performance enhancements
Supervise technical support staff and manage development
Train users, contractors, and DETS students
Coordinate user meetings and communicate requirements to D&T
Administer access, privileges, passwords, and interfaces
Requirements:
Related two year technology diploma and five years’ experience
Three years in electric or gas distribution design
Excellent eGIS knowledge and demonstrated operating proficiency
Strong planning, communication, coordination, and presentation skills
Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
