Underwrite complex Canadian mortgage applications at Neo in a hybrid Halifax role, using strong judgment and communication skills.
As an experienced Mortgage Underwriter, you will review documentation and underwrite deals from across Canada. You will work with Mortgage Sales and third-party brokers to find effective customer financing solutions. The position supports mortgage files from application through funding while building expertise in products, tools, technology, and Salesforce CRM.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite complex, high-value mortgage loan applications
Deliver mortgages from application through funding
Communicate process and documentation requirements clearly
Track active mortgage file status with partners
Make prudent decisions on complex files
Requirements:
Minimum two years Canadian mortgage underwriting experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organization and time management capabilities
Strong dedication to client service
Availability for three weekly onsite Halifax days
