Senior Insolvency Tax Analyst

Prepare insolvency tax returns and manage CRA matters as a Senior Insolvency Analyst supporting BDO’s Tax Center of Excellence. Work across office, client site, and virtual settings.
BDO seeks a senior professional to coordinate tax filings, documentation, refunds, and compliance matters. The work involves T1 processes, GST/HST returns, Notices of Assessment, tax slips, and communication with CRA and internal teams. Accuracy and established procedures guide each assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare pre-bankruptcy, post-bankruptcy, and prior-year income tax returns
Process requests through the centralized PDS Tax inbox
Prioritize urgent tax inquiries and seasonal workloads
Investigate held refunds and respond to CRA reviews
Review assessments, tax slips, and supporting documentation
Requirements:
Minimum two years of tax preparation experience
Experience with self-employed returns and CRA T1 processes
Knowledge of refunds, offsets, and GST/HST returns
Ability to prioritize competing demands accurately
Working knowledge of iFirm is an asset
