Assistant Funeral Home Operations Manager

Lead funeral home operations at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ontario, using customer service and funeral direction expertise. This is full-time, permanent work.
As Assistant Funeral Home Manager, you will oversee services and operations under Company guidelines and standards. The position combines staff recruitment, training, budgeting, business development, and funeral service support. You will also help maintain facility and vehicle standards while contributing to meaningful experiences for families.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day funeral home operations and customer service
Develop annual forecasts, market plans, and financial objectives
Recruit, train, manage performance, and evaluate funeral home staff
Communicate legal and ethical requirements to staff
Perform decedent embalming and preparation when required
Requirements:
Funeral Director’s license and five years’ licensed experience
Business development, sales, and customer success experience
Knowledge of funeral home procedures and business practices
Community participation and outreach supporting business cultivation
Ability to meet sales and regulatory compliance requirements
