Teach philosophy in person at Medicine Hat Campus, focusing on moral philosophy, bioethics, and undergraduate student learning.
Medicine Hat College seeks a full-time term-certain Philosophy Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year. The instructor will teach Philosophy: Values and Ethics, Bioethics, and Philosophy of Science. The appointment supports university transfer, degree partnership, and other college programs through focused undergraduate instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach three PHIL 249 sections on values and ethics
Teach two PHIL 313 sections on bioethics
Teach one PHIL367 section on philosophy of science
Prepare course materials and assess assignments and examinations
Provide feedback, office hours, records, and instructional support
Requirements:
Master's degree in philosophy; PhD preferred
Relevant post-secondary teaching experience considered an asset
Strong grounding in moral philosophy and bioethics
Strong communication skills and computer literacy
Willingness to collaborate and focus on student success
