Support patient and resident care as a Health Care Aide at Selkirk Regional Health Centre, working days or nights within a 0.40 FTE schedule.
Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority seeks a Health Care Aide for its Clinical Support team. Working under Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse direction, you will assist with personal needs and activities of daily living. The position requires nursing process awareness, safe patient handling, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients, patients, and residents with personal needs
Support activities of daily living using established procedures
Work under Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse direction
Apply assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation principles
Support health care team activities within assigned duties
Requirements:
Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Knowledge of patient care techniques and procedures
Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques
Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks
Bring compassionate personal care, safe handling knowledge, and clear communication to Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority’s Selkirk team.
