Pipeline Control Room Operator
Suncor Energy Inc.
Operate pipeline systems from Suncor’s Sherwood Park control room, using SCADA, troubleshooting, and timely decisions. Work a 12-hour rotating shift cycle.
As a Control Room Operator, you will manage pipeline operations, procedures, and emergency response for your assigned console. The position requires pipeline control centre or field operations experience, operational discipline, and strong analytical skills. You will work collaboratively with shift crews, support staff, and external stakeholders while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow and adjust pipeline rates and pump selections
Make operational changes while applying pipeline hydraulics
Respond to SCADA alarms and emergency conditions
Collaborate with crews, support staff, and stakeholders
Generate SAP notifications for nuisance alarms
Requirements:
Pipeline control centre or two years field operations experience
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
Valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate or Technical Diploma
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills
Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
