AltaGas is seeking a Relief Operator to provide added support alongside full-time operations staff. You will assist with equipment checks, maintenance preparation, permitting, and routine plant tasks. This full-time schedule runs seven days on, seven days off, with rotating twelve-hour night and day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist plant operators with daily operational tasks
Prepare equipment safely for maintenance lockout
Assist with purging equipment before maintenance
Change filters and support pipeline pigging activities
Assist with safe work permits for maintenance
Requirements:
Grade 12 education or equivalent qualification
Fourth Class Power Engineering certificate or progress toward it
Ability to work with limited supervision
Positive attitude toward facility operations
Desire to learn operational procedures and tasks
Use Power Engineering knowledge, maintenance support, and safe work practices as an AltaGas Relief Operator.
