Waste Removal Truck Driver Sparwood
GFL Environmental Inc.
Provide courteous waste removal services across the Sparwood, BC region while operating roll-off and flatbed trucks with specialized equipment. This safety-sensitive role requires testing.
The Driver serves customer sites, collects containers, and transports waste for proper disposal. Responsibilities include operating a truck-mounted forklift, completing route sheets, reporting incidents, and following federal, provincial, local, customer, and company safety rules. Mine site heavy equipment experience supports this work.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect waste containers from customer sites safely
Transport collected materials to post-collection facilities
Complete route sheets, inspections, and requested documentation
Maintain route quality and improve routing efficiencies
Present a professional appearance while serving customers
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 Driver’s License required
Five-year fairly clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
Demonstrated mine site heavy equipment experience
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork
Use dependable driving, customer communication, and waste collection skills to support safe GFL operations throughout Sparwood and surrounding routes.
