Red Cross First Aid Instructor

Teach Red Cross first aid courses with professional instruction, safe supervision, and adaptable techniques at Cougars Athletics and Recreation.
Reporting to the Aquatic Centre Supervisor and Coordinator, the First Aid Instructor delivers courses following Red Cross and CAR standards. This flexible position includes variable scheduling, from three to thirty-five hours weekly, through April 23, 2027. Instruction serves participants across varying skill levels and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver programs under CAR and Red Cross standards
Demonstrate techniques for participants with varying skill levels
Adapt instruction and provide constructive performance feedback
Supervise sessions, assess risks, and enforce facility rules
Complete records, certifications, and participant documentation accurately
Requirements:
Current Red Cross First Aid Instructor certification
Valid Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C/AED
Availability for days, evenings, and weekends
Maintain current certifications throughout employment
Additional certifications are preferred
