First Student seeks an experienced Level 1 Driver Trainer for its Burlington, Ontario location. This role develops school bus drivers through classroom, skills, and on-road instruction. You will support candidates, coach existing drivers, evaluate performance, and maintain training records. Leadership, flexibility, and safety commitment are central.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver classroom, skills, and on-road school bus training
Provide refresher, remedial, and upgrade training
Support candidate onboarding and training activities
Coach drivers on safety, compliance, and confidence
Maintain accurate training records and evaluate performance
Requirements:

Valid Class B licence or higher with endorsements
At least three years of school bus or commercial driving
Clean driver abstract meeting stated three-year requirements
Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching abilities
Flexible Monday-to-Friday availability, with possible weekends
Bring school bus driving experience, coaching ability, and safety leadership to First Student’s Level 1 Driver Trainer position.
