Bilingual Senior Life Underwriter

Bilingual life underwriting expertise meets complex risk assessment at Canada Life in Ontario, serving English- and French-speaking clients. Manage larger cases with meaningful customer interactions.
As a Consultant on the Senior Underwriting team, you will assess complex individual life risks and develop creative solutions while managing risk. The work requires financial, medical, and non-medical analysis, plus collaboration with field partners and internal teams. You will also support underwriting standards and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and classify complex individual life insurance risks
Analyze financial, medical, and non-medical evidence
Communicate decisions with field partners and internal teams
Maintain effective advisor relationships and customer service
Mentor underwriters and review life underwriting guidelines
Requirements:
Fluent bilingualism in French and English
Extensive experience with complex larger face amount cases
Minimum $7 million individual life signing authority
Superior medical, personal, and financial underwriting knowledge
Strong analysis, negotiation, organization, and collaboration skills
